Paseo is a protocol that fosters relationship-building, encourages reflection, and helps students (and adults!) to practice their listening skills. Paseo can be used as a community-building protocol that reflects on how our identities shape how we interact with each other and the world, and can be modified for academic discussions and reflection.
Dialogic Interview is an incredibly powerful method for getting to know another person's perspectives, opinions, and background. Dialogic interviews are conducted in pairs, with an interviewer and an interviewee. During the protocol, the interviewee reflects on and responds to questions posed by the interviewer for a set amount of time with no interruption from the interviewer. The roles are then reversed, so that the interviewer has a chance to put forth their reflections and responses to the same questions while the interviewee listens.
The project tuning protocol is a great PBL resource. In this protocol, teachers bring project ideas to a group for feedback and new ideas.
