Design for Deeper Learning
In this course, we deepened our understanding and skills in instructional design and leadership by connecting the theoretical underpinnings of constructivist learning with issues of design, assessment, ownership, and exhibition. Using a consultancy model along with templates for project design and assessment, we reflected upon past and current designs and developed designs for immediate and/or future use. Special attention was paid to institutional structures and processes that support effective design, and to working and consulting with colleagues and community partners on project development.
